How can we help?

Brief is AI pre-call research — type a name, get a sourced briefing in seconds. This page helps you with both the web app and the Chrome extension.

Get in touch

The fastest way to reach us is email. Send anything — a bug, a question, a billing issue, or feedback — to tech@briefthecall.com and a real person will read it. We usually reply within a couple of business days.

If your question is about a profile Brief has published — yours or someone else’s — the quickest path is the no-login removal & correction form.

Common questions

The chip isn’t appearing on a page — why?+
The Brief chip only shows up when a person is the subject of the page you’re on — a LinkedIn or X profile, an article about someone, a team page. On pages that aren’t about a specific person there’s nothing to brief, so no chip appears. The extension reads only the page you’re currently viewing, and nothing runs until you click, so if a profile clearly features a person but no chip shows, try reloading the page. Coverage beyond LinkedIn and X profiles is still rolling out.
How do I install and start using the extension?+
The Brief extension is rolling out through the Chrome Web Store. Once it’s installed, open a LinkedIn or X profile — or an article about a person — find the small Brief chip beside their name, and click it: a sourced briefing streams into a panel next to the page. You sign in once with Google to start researching. Until the store listing is live, the same research engine is available on the web — type a name and get the identical brief in seconds.
Is my data collected?+
The extension reads only the page you’re currently viewing, and only to detect a person’s name and company — it never tracks your browsing history, reads other tabs, or acts as you. Nothing is sent until you click the chip; the research then runs on Brief’s servers against the public web, the same pipeline as the website. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I remove or correct a profile about me or someone else?+
Use the no-login removal and correction form. You can ask us to remove a profile entirely or correct specific details, and no account is required. A removed profile stops being served everywhere — the website, the extension, and the agent API.
Is it free?+
Yes, to try. Your first brief is free with no signup, and Brief stays free once you sign in with Google, with a daily limit on fresh research. The extension follows the same model — there is no separate charge for it.
How do I uninstall the extension?+
In Chrome, open the Extensions menu (the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, or visit chrome://extensions), find Brief, and choose Remove. That deletes the extension and its local settings. Uninstalling doesn’t delete any profiles already published on the web — to remove a profile about you, use the takedown page.
